MOSCOW TRANSPORT MUSEUM

Moscow, Novoryazanskaya St., 27
The new complex of the Moscow Transport Museum is located in a restored garage on Novoryazanskaya Street, built according to the design of architect Konstantin Melnikov.

The exposition is dedicated to the history of the capital's transport from the appearance of the horse-drawn tram to the launch of autonomous transport.
The exposition features 94 interactive installations and 27 simulators. You can take the seat of a metro driver or an EDC dispatcher, drive a tram through the Moscow of the future, ride through the city of the 20th century in a "Leyland" bus, assemble a "Moskvich-412" engine, or hand a tool to a road worker.
In total, the museum displays 53 original pieces of equipment, 220 models of retro equipment, and 500 historical objects. Among them, for example, is an 1872 horse-drawn tram restored on the basis of an original undercarriage, a BF tram car, one of only two preserved in the world, and a Type V metro car — the only preserved car of the Berlin metro in its eight-door modification.

A separate children's route with "stops" — interactive points with tasks and game animation — is laid out throughout the entire exposition. The tasks are connected to the themes of the zones: for example, in the section on automobile design, a child designs their own car on an interactive display. The child moves through the exposition on equal terms with adults and gets acquainted with the history of the city independently.
