Melnikov

Moscow, The Shchusev State Museum of Architecture,
November 05, 2022 – January 12, 2022
The monographic exhibition of one of the most famous Russian architects of the 20th century.

The main goal was to give a broad coverage of Konstantin Melnikov's works, show the maximum number of objects, to acquaint the public with both well-studied monuments and those that have not been realized, but nevertheless had a great influence on modern architecture.

The exhibition is a great opportunity to look at the architectural images of Konstantin Melnikov. The exhibition in the 10 halls of the Museum's front porch introduces visitors to Melnikov's life and work and his development as an architect. Thus, one of the halls of the exhibition is devoted to the period of apprenticeship, where the works of Konstantin Stepanovich are presented in the context of the works of his teachers - architects A.V. Schusev and I.V. Zholtovsky.
