FACTORY OF WONDERS

Moscow, VDNKh
From June 15, 2026
On June 15, the interactive exhibition "Factory of Wonders" opened, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Soyuzmultfilm studio. The exposition invites visitors to walk through the studio's creative "workshops" and see how an animated film is born: from the initial idea and first sketches to a living universe.

The exposition is structured in the form of the studio's creative "workshops," each dedicated to a separate stage of animated film production. Guests will be able to learn how ideas for future projects are born, see the process of creating characters, and get acquainted with the work of animation artists.

Separate zones will tell about various animation techniques — drawn, puppet, computer 3D animation, and other directions. Visitors will learn how character voices are recorded in the sound studio, how puppets and sets are transformed into animated film heroes, and how movement is created on screen.

Many exhibits can not only be viewed but also used independently. Guests will be able to try themselves as animators, control light and movement, assemble their own mini-scene, and get acquainted with the basics of the profession. An audio guide will complement the journey through the exhibition.

The final point of the route will be the interactive space "City of Heroes" with characters from Soyuzmultfilm. Here visitors will find themed display cases, puzzles, game elements, and secret doors dedicated to famous heroes of Russian animation.

The exhibition at VDNKh will run until June 22. After that, "Factory of Wonders" will go on tour to cities across Russia.
