A sense of home

Moscow, Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center,
July 25, 2022 - November 10, 2022
Each story in the exhibit shows how emotional connections are formed with the place one calls home. Today, conversation about home can be a point of reference, an attempt to find personal meanings that always remain with us. In this case the word "home" can be understood as a "family nest", where several generations of the family lived, or a portable tent, an apartment of childhood, or a hotel room, where we had to stay for a few months. The memories of which are stored in each of us.

Seventeen photo stories of the exhibition "The Sense of Home" take the audience to different parts of Russia: from the Finnish Gulf to Birobidzhan, from the Taimyr Peninsula to North Ossetia. The exhibition consists of five thematic sections:

- ancestral nest
- nomadic homes
- nostalgia for home
- my home is your home
- sacral home
